Pier taught me, as well as 30 other young friends who visited Turin/Pollone, how to live adventurously in the world, but not of it. How to love everyone, regardless of age, social status, race, or anything "different". His testimony of selfless courage is truly inspiring to young people everywhere....Verso L'Alto!

I have had a close 'friendship' with him for a number of years, his life has inspired me - he was young and passionate about his faith and unassuming in his help for the underprivileged poor. I have always loved his smile, his joy! ... one day he somehow 'found me' - and encouraged me to pray to him. I may be old in years but I feel young and passionate for God inside!

Married at a very young age, we have a family of 3 boys and 2 girls...we have known Pierre Giorgio for two Years now. A Family we know from a catholic summer camp and that has an apostleship named Verso Alto introduced us to him. Pierre Giorgio is thé patron of their group and it really helps, nurtures , encourages father-son relationships to its coré! Father-son solid relationships based in thé word of God definitively contributes to healthy families, and the worst attack we have now is on thé families(as per Fatimas 3rd révélation), so definitively we néed many many help from.above , from Piere Giorgio, to intersede for us and help us nurture healthy families where sons grow to a happy vocation in life( as a future father, priest, etc..) and help sociéty as a whole. Personally i am full of joy evertime i sée my sons leave for thé Verso alto day on thé mountains.it is such a blessing, searching God in a father-son relationship..pray for us Pierre Giorgio!

I met him while I wad on a missing trip in Alaska in 2015. Later that year I read his biography and then had the opportunity to visit his relics while I was in Poland for world youth day. He brought my sister and I together while we were amongst millions of Catholics. He is definitely one of my saint best friends.

Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati came to me through my parish priest. We had to draw a quote out of a basket by a saint or holy person and we were to pray to that person. I later learned more and more about him and became close to him in prayer. He was my confirmation "saint" when I was confirmed in March 2017. Shoutout to my parish priest Fr. Dustin Schultz of the Diocese of Peoria for introducing me to him through this small action. God bless!

My best friend met her husband at a speaker series at our church called the Frassati Society. I started reading about Bl. Pier Giorgio then, 15 years ago. Now two of our sons, George and Peter, are named after him. We think it's so important for our boys to be inspired by his love for the poor, for the Mass, the rosary and our Blessed Mother, for the way he handled suffering, for his exuberant spirit, his untiring self-sacrificial service to others

I first "met" Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati online, in May 1999 ---- when my Mother, Yvonne Ruttle, was diagnosed with lung cancer. I wrote to Mrs. Luciana Frassati and to her daughter, Mrs. Wanda Gawronska ---- they responded with an e-mail, and then a letter with a Relic Holy Card from 1932, when Pier Giorgio's Cause for Canonization was first introduced in Turin, Italy. My Mother and Father --- and I --- prayed to Pier Giorgio over the years. My Mother's lung cancer did go into remission for over 9 years. Originally, in 1999, the oncologist gave my Mother only 6 months to live --- she had small cell, lung cancer. Pier Giorgio accompanied her -- and our whole Family on this journey from 1999 - to September 16, 2010, when my Mother died surrounded by 14 of her Family. I had placed his Relic on her body ---- praying for Pier Giorgio to lead my Mother, and all of us, to Jesus. I have kept in touch by e-mail with Mrs. Wanda Gawronska ever since 1999. We pray for one another ---- and support each other --- across an ocean and many miles. She fervently works for Pier Giorgio's Canonization --- and is a good and wonderful lady !!! Pier Giorgio and his family are a true blessing to our Family. How I thank God for Pier Giorgio's life and witness to the Gospel !!!!! MRR July 21, 2017

Bl. Pier Giorgio inspires me to fully live out my life while inviting Christ into every moment, and not being afraid of what others think of me. I love hearing the stories of how he would win games of billiards in which his friends would then go with him to Adoration! As a current FOCUS missionary I rely on his intercession that I may be given the grace to confidently show Christ to others.

I don't remember how I first heard about Pier Giorgio but in my daily life I am inspired by a stain glass image of him in my university chapel at the Newman Centre at the University of Toronto. In the summer of 2015 I spent 3 months in Tanzania volunteering with the Salesian Sisters at their mission school and I planned to climb Mt Kilimanjaro for the love of mountains and the adventure. I knew the 6 climb on the montian would be particularly challenging because I have asthma and had a brown bone in my foot I was going to have surgery on in the Fall. To prepare, I printed out a picture of Blessed Pier Giorgio climbing up a mountain with "Verso L'alto" and "the higher we go, the better we can hear the voice of Christ" written on it and carried it in my pocket the whole climb. I also asked for his intercession for strength to climb despite the foot pain and asthma and when I reached the summit, I knew I had him and the Blessed Mother to thank for my climbing success! The next summer, my friend and I created our own pilgrimage in Italy and I went to the tomb of Blessed Pier Giorgio to thank him and ask him for his intercession! He is a saint a keep close to my heart in the big adventures and the daily activities hoping that like him I can persever in the Christian life as I onto us studying in university, try to encounter the poor in my city, and pray for my parents conversion like he did! Blessed Pier Giorgio inspires me to live in the world, but not be of the world. He gave his wealth away with utter generosity- not only his material wealth, but the wealth of love overflowing in his heart from his intimate relationship with God and frequent reception of the Eucharist. His devotion to God, while sometimes a source of jest for his peers, did not lessen, but increased his attractiveness to those around him. He had true joy in living the gospel, which compelled him to do so in every aspect of his life.

I encountered Bl. Pier Giorgio through the testimony of a camp counselor when I was about 12 years old, at a Catholic camp in Michigan. Since then, I've asked for his intercession and prayed for his canonization. As a young man, I was inspired by his early sanctity, just like St. Thérèse of Lisieux and St. Maria Goretti. All three have been great signs to me that sainthood is not far off, that it is for all people. Bl. Pier Giorgio, pray for us!

As one of nine in our office, we pray each day for the blessing of Pier Giorgio and also for the blessing of his canonization. He has been a long time friend of mine as I met him a number of years ago in search for a role model to inspire my students.
His life and witness to the primacy of a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ that leads one to LIVE JOYFULLY the Gospel in the everyday circumstances of life met with broad appeal.
I encourage persons of all ages to follow his example of prayer, of "hidden" good works in the natural flow of one's day-to-day life and the circumstances that arise.
