I first heard of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati in a summer retreat that I attended about a month ago. One of the retreat leaders was telling us about him. He was honestly a normal guy, like you and me, who liked to hang out with his friends, who liked to have fun, and who found joy in giving service to others. One thing that truly struck me was how at his funeral, thousands of people from the streets went to celebrate his life. Apparently, he had spent his days helping out anyone found in the streets, anyone alone, anyone exiled by society. His parents had no idea that he had spent his life helping all these people! Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati showed me that it is indeed possible to become a Saint even as a young person. Thanks to his inspiring life's work, I am striving like never before to follow God's ultimate plan. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, Pray For Us!

I can relate to him as we both developed a love of Mary and the Eucharist at a young age!
Testimony of Father John from USA
I have been promoting the cause of Pier Giorgio since 1995, he is an example of one who lived his faith, through the Catholic Social Teaching, blended with prayer, esp. the Eucharist and the Rosary. A dedicated Lay Dominican, a champion of the poor and outcast. An ordinary Christian who loved as Jesus did.

My friends and I rejoice and are consoled by the vibrant and jovial attitude of Blessed Pier. With his ability to be his energetic, funny, and young self while at the same time preserving his sanctity reminds us that Christ calls us to be saints through being ourselves! Blessed Pier Giorgio, pray for us!

He provided inspiration and intercession during my years in youth ministry. His life showed me how anyone can make a difference, and to those that much is given much is expected... I hope he will become a saint very all .
Testimony of Clarissa from USA
I got to learn more about Bl. Pier Giorgio briefly at World Youth Day in Poland. He inspires me so much. To see that you can still become a blessed or saint even through things like social status, athletics, humor- and earn a nickname like "the Terror" because of your jokes- is inspiring, because it emphasizes that we can truly love and glorify God through everything we do. Instead of going through education and formation because it is the proper thing to do, Frassati did everything toward the goal of bringing God and justice to social reform or improvement. It's so indicative of his "secretly" charitable nature that only at his funeral was it revealed how many people he had truly impacted.
Just like Frassati, I hope not for people to shower praises upon me as I'm alive, but for the people I've helped and loved to shower prayers and graces upon me as they mourn at my death- because a statement to God is more important than a statement just to myself.
Such a crowd declares in hushed reverence, "this was a great man, a reflection of God. And we will sorely miss the holy light he brought us."

He is a boss. I admire Georgio so much!
Testimony of Joseph from USA
I used to dress up as Blessed Pier Giorgio when I was a kid. He was an athlete and a shining example to his peers in school. To me he shows me that it is possible to be a great saint no matter how hard the circumstances or how old you are. By the age of 18 he was financially taking care of hundreds of the poor. His father was an atheist and he would sneak out early in the morning to go to daily mass, come home and sneak back in through his window and pretend like he was waking up for the first time. He is everything I strive to be as a disciple of Christ.
Testimony of Mariusz from USA

Testimony of Tiiso from South Africa
I stumbled upon Pier Giorgio's life story by accident but I was so inspired by what I read. As a student who cares about social issues I was so encouraged to see a young person, just like me, who just tried his best in every circumstance to love Jesus through the poor and marginalised and loved His Church. It made me think, "if God can make this person a saint, He can make me a saint too"
Testimony of Tristan from USA
Bl. Pier Giorgio has always been one of my favorite holy people. Now, he is the sponsor of our new Columbian Squires Circle (since 2015). I was the chief squire for the first 3 years in a row and counting. I live him because he is a great example for all of us.

Pier Giorgio serves as an important reminder in my life, that in all things I should look upward. I was introduced to him by a video produced by Bishop Robert Barron, and since then my devotion has only grown.

I Recently been on a pilgrimage to Turin and Oropa with the English Dominicans following in the footsteps of this incredible young man. Everything about him is impressive; fascinated by His zeal for God and love for others at such a young age. I wish to imitate the life he has lived. Verso l'alto!

Since March of 2016 when our Pastor, Msgr Michael Glenn, at St. Mary+Our Lady of Peace here in Summit County Colorado was diagnosed with brain cancer, we have been praying the Novena to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati for his cure. After surgery and nine months of intensive medical care in Houston, he returned to serve our Parish fulltimewith several continualchemo treatments and clear mris,. The doctors think they worked his "cure" but we know better. We continue the daily prayer with adding many others with debilitating diseases
Testimony of Kyle from USA
Many times I have felt the pressures and challenges of being a young person in the Church and felt the desire to succumb to the societal norms around me. Many times I have seen the challenging road ahead of me that living my life for Jesus would bring then choose the easy and clean road of accepting an average faith life and not striving for more in my relationship with God. That all changed when I found a prayer card for Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati 3 years ago. The phrase 'verso l'alto' changed the way I live my life and it changed the way I look at salvation. After reading the many books describing his life full of humility and courage, and then through his own intercession, I have started to reach for the top in my faith and not be afraid to really give my all to God. Bl. Pier Giorgio Frassati's intercession is what has led me to start taking my faith life seriously and to start truly climbing my mountain, and to not be lukewarm in my faith, but on fire.
